DERMATOLOGY
& Whole Body Cryotherapy

(AD) Atopic Dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease with dry, itchy, burning skin, causing a remarkable adverse impact on quality of life.
Other Conditions caused by AD are the following:
-
Autoimmune and cardiac disease
-
Deficient bone health
-
Infections (Adults and children with AD are at an increased risk of developing serious bacterial, viral, and fungal skin infections)
-
Neuropsychiatric conditions (Adults with AD have a 2.5 to 3-fold higher risk for anxiety or depression, and children with AD are 2 to 6 times more likely to have depression or anxiety than children without AD)

Even when treatments are available, over 50% of adults with AD still face concerns about long-term use, and over 50% have found a treatment to be ineffective. 44% have discontinued prescribed medications for eczema.

Benefits of Cryotherapy
Recent studies have shown that people who are exposed to extreme cold have increased concentrations of anti-inflammatory cytokines in their peripheral blood. Thus, cryotherapy is now commonly recommended due to the local and systemic anti-inflammatory effects and relief experienced by individuals with Atopic Dermatitis, who are experiencing burning and itchy sensations.
